Fourth Trimester

There is a lot to do to prepare for childbirth and a new baby but one thing you want to make sure you prepare for is your postpartum time, also known as the fourth trimester.

This stage can be filled with the highest of highs and the lowest of lows. It is an emotionally charged time.

First thing to understand is everything doesn’t always magically go back to the way it was pre-pregnancy. It certainly doesn’t happen in 6 to 8 weeks, either. For some of us pregnancy and childbirth will leave behind marks or scars that never go away.

Are you watching your beautiful thick pregnancy hair circle down the shower drain? You are not alone!

Has it been days since you slept? You are not alone!

Do you still look pregnant? You are not alone!

Is your house an absolute wreck? You are not alone!

Do you feel like everything in your life changed? You are not alone!

Are you worried about going back to work? Childcare? You are not alone!

Are you having trouble finding any clothes that fit? You are not alone!

Have you noticed things appeared like stretch marks, hemorrhoids, and spider veins? You are not alone!

Do you feel sad or lonely? You are not alone!

Do you doubt yourself and your abilities? You are not alone!

What are you experiencing postpartum?

Guess what? You are not alone!

Rest assured ,sweet friend, this phase doesn’t last.

Yours truly,
